Does your heart ache when you see injustice? Do you desire to be enriched with the Spirit of Jesus as were St. Francis and St. Clare? If so, God may be calling you to be an Associate of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago.

What is an Associate?

An Associate is a person in the Christian community who feels called to share in the mission and ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago. This involves serving the needs of the Church in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and our Foundress, Venerable Mother Mary Theresa Dudzik.

What does being an Associate involve?

  • Participating in spiritual activities that nourish your faith life
  • Sharing in the mission and ministry through volunteer services, parish ministry and charitable works
  • Taking advantage of opportunities to share in communal activities of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago (prayer, meals, faith sharing)
  • Building relationships with the Sisters

Who is invited to
be an Associate?

Women and men 18 years of age or older who strive to live the Gospel.
